"Every journey begins with a single step"

Step 1:

• Get together in groups of four

• Become a member of a research team: two students in each group will assume the role of the geographer the other two students will assume the role of the recreational coordinator.

The geographer's task

You will provide information on the following things

- the physical features of the region you travel through (including maps)

- the cities you plan to visit (including things to see and do, accomodation together with prices, places to eat)

- national parks worth visiting

- don’t forget the means of transport you select to get from one destination to the other (rented car, bus, train ..., together with prices!)

The recreational coordinator's task

You will provide information on the following things

- famous historical sites along your selected route

- activities relating to the field of entertainment (including indoor/outdoor activities, sports events, amusing parks and other cultural events)

- don’t forget the means of transport you select to get from one destination to the other (rented car, bus, train ..., together with prices!)

Step 2:

• Once the roles in each group have been distributed, have a look at the given map and select a region you wish to visit and travel through.

Step 3:

• Now that your group has decided upon the region to travel through, select and outline your precise travel route. Remember to stay within your region!
